West Point interior painting requires so much more than a brush and some paint. The prep work, or preparation, lays the foundation for a finished product that is high quality and extremely detailed. To put it mildly, the preparation is the most important part of any West Point interior painting project and we are committed to doing it right!
The color choices that you make for your interior painting in West Point are extremely important. The colors that you choose will help set the tone and mood of each particular room. Interior paint colors can accentuate your design elements or be the main focus. But either way, they do a lot to affect the level of comfort felt inside a room. When it comes to interior painting in West Point, the quality of the application is only the tip of the iceberg.
Whether you are looking for a company to complete an entire interior painting project or something smaller like Cabinet Painting In West Point, wallpaper removal, painting an accent wall or even freshening up the trim we would love to be your interior painters.

The Best Interior Painters In West Point Take Prep Seriously
We start by masking all of the surfaces in your home that we need to keep paint off of. This includes the floors, countertops, heavy furniture, lights and any other item that are not easy to move.
We use a combination of masking paper, masking film/plastic, and plastic lined tarps that are used exclusively for completing interior painting in West Point.
We also remove all of the light switch covers and plug covers from the wall unless they have been glued on. The lights and ceilings fans are removed or masked, depending on the installation, and then we remove all of your window coverings from the room.
At this point you might think it’s time to get the paint out, but there’s still a few more things that have to be completed before we start your West Point interior painting project.
1. We fill all of the nail holes with putty or spackle.
2. We prime all stains with a stain blocking primer.
3. We caulk all cracks in the corners of the drywall.
4. We caulk all hairline cracks in the walls or ceiling.
5. We texture all big patches to match the surrounding wall.
6. We re-caulk all of the cracked door casings.
7. We re-caulk any cracks where the baseboard and wall meet.
8. We de-gloss or sand the trim.
Interior Painting In West Point
Once all of the prep work is completed we paint your home using one of two strategies.
1. If we are painting only a couple of rooms or less we will start our West Point interior painting projects by coating the ceiling.
This requires using a step ladder to move around the perimeter of the room and using a brush to paint the cut-in where the wall and ceiling meet and around the edge of any lights, ceiling fans or duct registers that couldn’t be removed. Once the cut in is complete we roll the ceiling with a microfiber roller nap, because microfiber provides the best finish quality.
After the ceiling has been painted we repeat the process for the walls, painting a razor sharp line along the top of the wall where it meets the ceiling, cutting in around the window and door trim and across the top of the baseboard.
After the walls and ceilings are painted the last step in our West Point interior painting service is to paint all of the baseboard, trim and doors. These surfaces take more abuse than the walls and ceilings so we use a paint that dries harder than normal paint. This keeps your interior painting in West Point looking better longer.
2. If our West Point interior painters are going to repaint your entire home we alter the process just a little bit. We will usually still start by painting the ceilings, but instead of painting the walls next- we paint the trim! After we paint the trim (using the same ultra-durable paint that was mentioned above) we tape it off along the line that the wall and trim meet. Taping the trim this way lets us get the sharpest possible lines between the colors.
West Point Interior Painting That Lasts
Taping the trim off is our favorite method for painting the inside of your home. However, if our West Point interior painters aren’t completing at least 4 of the rooms in your house there won’t be enough dry time to safely tape off all of the trim. But don’t worry, even if we can’t tape off all of the trim, our cut in lines in your home will still be fantastic.
Our team of enthusiastic West Point painters have a well-developed, creative sense for color combinations. In addition they have a steady hand that will give you a streak-free and unblemished appearance every time. We can repaint your whole interior if you are ready for a change, paint only a few rooms, or tie in with your current paint colors for newly remodeled areas.
Whether or not you want one area done or a complete, custom, interior paint job, our skilled painters will give the interior of your house a delicate touch. Our expert West Point interior painters are dedicated to providing the highest quality finished product and completing every project with 100% customer satisfaction.
