We Paint in Phases So You Stay Open
We plan the work in phases. That means we section off wherever we're painting and leave the rest of the building open and usable, moving through the place in an order you approve before day one.
In spaces people are still using, we go with low-odor, low-VOC products so your staff and customers can keep working around us. If a job calls for it, we can start early or take a weekend, though most never need that.

The Crew That Starts Your Job Finishes It
The worst thing a commercial painter can do is start your job and disappear. Every painter on our crew is a Michael Hines Painting employee. Nobody gets subbed out for the week, so the crew that starts your building is the same one that finishes it.
An experienced crew leader stays with the job from beginning to end. They know what you asked for, what has already been done, and what comes next. They’re also the person you talk to each day. You never have to find out who’s in charge.
Before we begin you get a written proposal, scope and fixed price spelled out, plus dates everyone signs off on and an experienced crew leader on site every day we're working.

Proof Before You Award the Job
Commercial work carries real liability, and most contracts won't let you award the job without proof. We're licensed and bonded through the state of California and carry general liability and workers comp. Ask for a certificate of insurance and it goes straight to your office or property manager.
Need us named as an additional insured on the job? Done. If your project needs bonding beyond our standard contractor bond, we can arrange that too.

The crew in your building are the same faces day after day. You won't see day labor rotating through. A crew leader runs the site, keeps the work zone barriered and marked, looks after your floors and fixtures and the people walking past, and leaves everything orderly at the close of each day.
Our office gets an update from the crew every day, and so do you, so you're never left chasing down who's doing what on your own property.

The first thing anyone sees is the front of your building. Peeling trim or a faded storefront says something about the business inside that you didn't mean to say.
On our jobs the work area gets protected before anyone opens a can, the site is left orderly every evening, and the kind of cleanup people mention in their reviews happens without anyone asking for it.
No job's done until we've walked it together. That final walkthrough is one last check, the two of us, that nothing slipped past before we call it finished.

From a single suite or storefront up through multi-building exteriors and common areas. For very large or high-rise buildings we are probably not your crew, and we'll tell you straight if a job is outside what we do well.
