We supply all tools, company uniforms after 30 days and almost never work over 40 hours in a week because we believe a healthy work-life balance is important.

No experience required…. Because when you’re picked to be a part of our team, you’ll go through our complete NINJA training system where you will learn the tricks of our trade from the best… And when we say the best, we mean you’ll be learning how to paint houses from the only company in Amador County that has been NATIONALLY recognized.

Apprentice – $16-$20, Hourly

Position for someone with less than 1 year of experience in house painting.

32+ Hours per week
Most work-weeks are 32-40 hours per week. Because of our rural market sometimes we have a shorter day to finish up a project and can’t go straight to the next one. 
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities include job-site cleanup, and learning the basic steps of masking, prep work, safe ladder placement, backrolling exteriors, general organization and retains knowledge of operation of spray machines and pressure washers. 

Painter Level 1 – $20-$22, Hourly

Position for someone with 1-3 Years of experience in house painting.

32+ Hours per week
 Most work-weeks are 32-40 hours per week. Because of our rural market sometimes we have a shorter day to finish up a project and can’t go straight to the next one.
Position Responsibilities
• Works with apprentice and painter level 2

• May assist in preparing the surrounding area by taping off and masking areas, covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes

• Removes any old paint, sanding, scraping and power washing surfaces to prepare for paint

• Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, or other filler, using caulking gun and putty knife

• Reads work order specifications

• Paints various surfaces through several methods of painting (rolling, brushing and spraying or the ability to learn to spray)

• Retains knowledge of spray machines and pressure washers

• Applies touch ups or second coats

• Performs preventive maintenance on brushes and any equipment utilized

• 1 to 3 verifiable years in the trade preferred

Painter Level 2 – $22-$24, Hourly

Position for someone with 4+ years of experience in house painting.

32+ Hours per week
 Most work-weeks are 32-40 hours per week. Because of our rural market sometimes we have a shorter day to finish up a project and can’t go straight to the next one.
Position Responsibilities
 

• Works with apprentice and Painter level 1

• Assists in training apprentice and painter level 1

• Advance knowledge of equipment and utilization for painting tasks assigned

• May assists in removing any old paint, sanding, scraping and power washing surfaces to prepare for paint

• Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, or other filler, using caulking gun and putty knife

• Reads paint specifications

• Mixes and applies paints

• Paints various surfaces with advance knowledge in all methods of painting (rolling, brushing and spraying). Must know how to Spray.

• Advance knowledge of spray machines and pressure washers

• Applies touch ups or second coats

•4 verifiable years in the trade preferred

Our standard work week is Monday-Friday, Saturday’s are optional and Night/Sunday work pays extra.

Our Work Area

We work primarily in Amador county but selectively take on projects in the communities that border the county line. Michael Hines Painting team members need to reside inside of Amador county so that they can avoid having to travel beyond 1 hour each direction (it will still happen on occasion).
